At Peter Naik Charitable Trust, we believe that awareness is the first step toward transformation. Through our Awareness Programs, we aim to educate, empower, and inspire communities—especially youth—to make informed decisions and build a healthier, stronger society.
Our initiatives focus on critical social issues such as drug abuse prevention, youth empowerment, mental health awareness, and human rights education. The Drug Abuse Awareness Program at Telangana Tribal Welfare Residential School marks the beginning of a broader mission, and we look forward to conducting many more impactful programs in the future.
Empowering Youth for a Brighter Tomorrow
In a strong step toward shaping a drug-free future, an Awareness Program on the Dangers of Drug Abuse was organized for the youth and children at the Telangana Tribal Welfare Residential School, Ichoda, located in Adilabad District. The event was held under the auspices of the National Nimble Human Rights Foundation.
Dr. Peter Naik Lakavath, a dedicated social reformer and the Chairman of the Peter Naik Charitable Trust, participated as the chief guest and led the session with a powerful message aimed at protecting the younger generation from the grip of addiction.
"Drugs destroy the lives of youth. One must focus on the future, align with the aspirations of parents, and strive for higher achievements in life."
— Dr. Peter Naik Lakavath
The program was attended by a large number of students, teachers, and local dignitaries, who were deeply engaged in discussions and presentations that highlighted the devastating physical, psychological, and social consequences of drug abuse.
The event also encouraged young minds to adopt positive lifestyle choices, build strong self-confidence, and reach out for support when needed. It served as a platform for education, awareness, and empowerment—equipping children and youth with the knowledge to make informed decisions.
Through such initiatives, the Peter Naik Charitable Trust continues to work tirelessly towards uplifting communities, safeguarding the health and well-being of youth, and inspiring them to walk a path of purpose and success.
