The Peter Naik Charitable Trust is deeply committed to the health, dignity, and empowerment of women and children, especially in rural and underprivileged communities. Through focused outreach, educational sessions, and practical support, the Trust actively works to uplift the lives of women and ensure that children receive the care they need for a healthier, brighter future.
In a heartfelt initiative at Champla Thanda, Dr. Peter Naik Lakavath, Founder of the Trust, was invited by a local Anganwadi teacher to speak to the community about the nutritional food and services provided by the government through Anganwadi centers.
Dr. Peter Naik Lakavath used the opportunity to educate pregnant women on the importance of making proper use of the nutritious food made available to them. He emphasized that such government programs are essential for the health of both mothers and their unborn children and should be utilized consistently.
While addressing the gathering, he observed that pregnant women were sitting on the floor, due to the lack of chairs in the facility. Moved by this, he immediately extended financial assistance through the Anganwadi teacher to ensure that proper seating could be arranged, enhancing comfort and dignity for the women attending the sessions.
